FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Questions about your outdoor project?
Find practical answers before you request an estimate. Every property is different, so we will confirm the scope and schedule for yours.
The details people ask us about.
How do I choose the right pavers for my project?
Start with how you plan to use the space and the look you want for your home. We can talk through materials, colors, patterns and borders, along with the site conditions and your budget, to help you choose an appropriate option.
How should I prepare before the crew arrives?
Move furniture, planters and other personal belongings out of the work area, arrange access to water and electricity, and have any required HOA approvals ready. Let us know about irrigation, underground utilities or other features that may affect the work. We’ll confirm any additional preparation needed for your project.
When can I walk or drive on my newly installed pavers?
We generally recommend waiting 24 hours before using your newly installed pavers. Timing can vary depending on the installation and any edge restraints, mortar or other materials that need time to cure. We’ll explain when your specific area is ready for foot traffic, vehicles and furniture.
Do you offer a warranty on paver installation?
Yes. Our paver installations are backed by a two-year workmanship warranty beginning at completion. Coverage details and exclusions are included in your written proposal. If you have a concern after installation, contact our team so we can review it with you.
Do you install artificial turf?
Yes. We install artificial turf lawns, courtyards and poolside designs, including projects that combine turf and pavers. We assess the ground, finished heights, edges and drainage before recommending the scope.
Does artificial turf need maintenance?
Artificial turf is generally low maintenance, and there’s no mowing required! A little routine care, such as removing debris, occasional cleaning and brushing, helps keep it looking its best.
What areas do you serve?
We’re based in Spring Hill and serve homeowners and businesses across Hernando, Pasco, Citrus and parts of Hillsborough County. Contact us with your address and project details to confirm availability.
Do you install new pavers or only clean and seal them?
Both. We install paver driveways, patios, walkways and pool decks. We also repair, clean, re-sand and seal existing pavers, and work on travertine, artificial turf and drainage projects.
How do you handle drainage on a new patio or driveway?
We review the existing grade and where water can discharge before recommending a layout. Finished pavers are properly installed and graded for appropriate drainage.
Do you require a deposit?
For installation projects, we typically collect 50% when the proposal is accepted to order materials and reserve your spot on the schedule. The remaining balance is due at completion. Typical sealing and repair jobs under $3,000 do not require a deposit. Your proposal will confirm the payment terms for your project.
Will sealing bring back the color of faded pavers?
Cleaning and sealing can refresh the appearance of weathered pavers and bring out their existing color. The results depend on the pavers’ age and condition. We’ll assess your surface and explain what kind of improvement you can realistically expect.
Will my pavers look shiny after sealing?
Our usual sealer gives pavers an enhanced appearance with a sheen. The finished look varies with the texture and absorbency of the pavers, so every surface responds a little differently.
How often should I have my pavers resealed?
We generally recommend resealing every two to three years. Sun exposure, traffic and ongoing maintenance can affect that timing. We can inspect your pavers and help you decide when they’re ready.
What is included in cleaning and sealing?
Our standard process includes pretreatment, thorough cleaning, rinsing, re-sanding the joints and applying two coats of sealer. We review the condition of your pavers, existing coatings and any problem areas before recommending the work.
Why do you add sand between the pavers?
Joint sand helps the pavers work together and resist movement. Re-sanding replenishes joints where sand is missing, while the sealer we use helps stabilize that sand.
Will sealing stop weeds and algae permanently?
Pavers still need occasional care after sealing. Windblown seeds, debris and moisture can allow weeds or algae to return. Keeping the surface clean helps maintain its appearance between professional services.
How should I maintain my pavers after sealing?
Remove leaves and debris regularly, clean up spills promptly and use cleaning products suitable for your sealed surface. Check with us before using strong chemicals or aggressive pressure washing so we can help you avoid damaging the finish or disturbing the joints.
How long before I can walk or drive on sealed pavers?
Normally, allow 24 hours before foot traffic and 48 hours before vehicle traffic. Weather and curing conditions can extend those times. We’ll provide guidance for your project before you use the area.
How soon can new pavers be sealed?
Our standard practice is to wait at least 90 days after installation. We check the surface and conditions before scheduling the sealing work.
Can pavers that were sealed before be resealed?
Often, yes. We first assess the existing coating and surface condition. Peeling, cloudy areas or an incompatible coating may require additional preparation before another coat can be applied.
Can you repair sunken or uneven pavers without replacing the entire area?
In many cases, affected pavers can be lifted and reset after the underlying problem is addressed. We’ll assess the area and recommend whether a localized repair or more extensive work makes sense.
Can you match the pavers I already have?
We can check whether the original style and color are still available. Existing pavers may have weathered over time, so an exact match with new material is not always possible. We’ll discuss the options before moving forward.
Will cleaning and sealing my pool deck leave debris in the pool?
We take care when working around your pool, but some sand or cleaning residue can enter the water. Removing existing sand can create additional residue, so some pool cleanup may be needed afterward.
